Kameleon Quilt no 1 "Night and Day" 120x120 cm (48''x48'') This quilt was made in 1998 and is the first quilt in the Kameleon Quilt series. The 60 three-dimensional triangles can be buttoned in 1 152 921 504 606 846 976 possible combinations, out of which 512 will form symmetrical patterns. "Night and Day" was finished in the autumn of 1998, approximately a year and a half after I got the initial idea. It was juried into "First Horizon" which travelled together with several other exhibitions to four different venues in Great Britain and Belgium during spring 1999. "Night and Day" was voted favourite of the audience at two of these venues, Brugge and York In the autumn of 1999 it was juried into the "Pacific International Quilt Festival" in California, and here it got an "Honorable Mention" "Night and Day" has also been exhibited at different venues in Norway and Scandinavia.
